In 1923, the original Home Run Inn location opened as a small tavern on Chicago’s South Side. In 1947, after that baseball made history, Mary and her son-in-law, Nick Perrino, crafted the iconic Chicago pizza recipe known today. Our first suburban location has served pizza in Darien since 1987.
With rustic tables, vintage accents, and Home Run Inn memorabilia, the space creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere for events up to 80 guests. With a party room that seats 50 guests, the Darien pizzeria is located at the four corners where Darien, Downers Grove, Woodridge, and Willowbrook meet at Lemont Road and 75th St. near HWY 355. We even offer gluten free pizza and wings in addition to your classic favorites, with the option to order pizza online for take out. The newly remodeled private party room at our Darien location is ideal for any kind of party.
Or enjoy our frozen pizza made with the same all-natural ingredients, homemade sauces and sausage without a single additive or preservative. It’s how we’ve done it ever since we opened our original pizzeria on Chicago’s South Side. Consider it our family’s way of bringing our history home to your family. We follow strict guidelines in preparing our gluten-free products, which includes baking the pizza in the manufacturer’s pan, but unfortunately, cross-contamination can still occur.
